The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the United Nations form the core of a global agenda. It's an urgent call to action for all nations, whether developed or developing.
These goals focus on improving education and healthcare, reducing disparities, and boosting economic growth. In addition, the goals stress the importance of addressing climate change and protecting our oceans and forests.
At MY Clean Beach, we focus on 4 out of the 17 SDGs.
GOAL 12
Responsible Consumption & Production
WHAT WE DO
We promote recycling habits and offer waste management education through our WIRA PLASTIK program for individuals, schools, and corporations.
As we educate the community about waste management, we assist them in identifying different types of waste and guide them on responsible recycling practices.
GOAL 13
Climate Action
THE CHANGES WE MAKE
We organise beach cleanups, seeking volunteers and institutions to join. After trash collection, we sort, recycle or convert them into energy to avoid filling the landfills.
It enables us to raise awareness about environmental hazards' impact on the food supply chain.
GOAL 14
Life Below Water
HOW WE DO IT
We gather data during beach cleanups across Malaysia to aid policymakers in identifying pollution sources and crafting solutions.
It helps to protect marine life from waste-related threats.
GOAL 15
Life on Land
THE TARGET
Our primary aim is to minimise waste sent to landfills, preventing short-term and long-term waste from accumulating or re-entering waterways and oceans.
This approach reflects our commitment to preserving and caring for our ecosystems. For that, we also plant trees.
