Terms of Service
Effective Date: 21 March 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Wira Plastik mobile
application ("App") operated by My Clean Beach ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading,
installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do
not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App. By using the App, you represent and
warrant that you meet this age requirement. Users under 18 should review these Terms with
a parent or guardian.
2. Account Registration
* You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
* You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
* You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
Notify us immediately at support@mycleanbeach.org if you suspect unauthorised access to
your account.
3. Use of the App
3.1 Permitted Use
The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use to track and record your plastic
recycling drop-off activities and view your environmental impact statistics.
3.2 Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
* Submit false, fabricated, or misleading drop-off records or photographs
* Attempt to manipulate the points system or leaderboards dishonestly
* Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
* Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or interfere with the App or its backend services
* Upload content that is offensive, defamatory, or infringes third-party intellectual
property rights
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
4. User-Submitted Content
By submitting photographs and other content through the App, you grant My Clean Beach a
non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, and display that content for the
purpose of operating the App and displaying aggregate community impact data. You retain
ownership of your submitted content.
You represent that any content you submit does not violate any third-party rights and does
not include images of individuals without their consent.
5. Points and Rewards
Points awarded through the App are for community engagement purposes only. They have
no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are not transferable. We reserve the
right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the points system at any time without notice.
6. Intellectual Property
All content in the App — including the Wira Plastik name, logo, design, text, and software —
is the property of My Clean Beach and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written
permission.
7. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at
www.mycleanbeach.org/privacy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by
reference.
8. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY
KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE
UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT
PERMITTED BY MALAYSIAN LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Clean Beach shall not be liable for any indirect,
incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App,
even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for
any claim shall not exceed MYR 100.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without
prior notice, if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the
App settings.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted in the App
and on our website with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes
constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any
disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts
of Malaysia.
